Amangiri Now Offers Private Flights to the Mighty 5 in Utah for the Ultimate One-Day National Park Escape This Iconic Utah Resort Will Fly You to Arches, Canyonlands, and Capitol Reef in One Day.

Whether it's a 2-week escape or a 2-day weekend getaway, TravelAnne is here to make it happen.

Amangiri long has been the type of place where the land does most of the talking: burnished red rock, big-sky quiet, and a feeling that time lingers just a little longer on the Colorado Plateau. Now the resort is, quite literally, stretching out what a day out looks like: guests can book private flights to nearby national parks as part of a new slate of curated excursions.

These day trips, according to the resort, allow travelers to pack in more of the Southwest’s greatest hits without making their stay a marathon of rushed drives and ungodly alarms. The menu of experiences consists of Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park and Capitol Reef National Park — a triple feature that adds depth and color (and one could argue an essential touchstone) to Utah’s vaunted “Mighty 5.” And for those who want to extend the adventure outside of state borders, there’s also a possibility to visit Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona — day trips are more than enough time to amass some serious scenery and return back to Amangiri by evening peace and quiet.

The idea is simple: leave the desert in the morning, spend the heart of the day in one iconic park and return by sunset, dinner and a spa appointment that sounds like just-right landings.

How the day trips work

Once the room is booked, guests can arrange for their flights through Amangiri’s experience team. The day itself progresses with the smooth pacing that luxury travelers prize: departures are usually at about 8 a.m., returning just before 5 p.m. (Flights last no longer than an hour each way, and on arrival each itinerary offers a four-hour supervised ground tour.)

Part of the seduction is transportation. The journey starts with a flight aboard either a King Air 200 or Pilatus PC-12 NG turboprop plane from Page Municipal Airport (PGA) – less than 30 minutes door-to-door, the resort explains. The result is a day that feels expansive rather than draining: More time on trails and overlooks, less spent watching the same two-lane highway unspool behind you.

Taking a Deeper Look into Canyonlands opportunity

And although each trip is uniquely tailored to an individual park, the Canyonlands itinerary provides a pretty good snapshot of the style. Visiting guests fly into Canyonlands Field Airport (CNY) just outside Moab, then head out for a guided day on the land that encompasses the Mesa Arch trail — one of the region’s most photogenic vantage points — and other scenic lookouts selected to provide maximum awe at an even keel. It is the kind of itinerary that favors views and stories over speed.

Pricing and group size

The private flight day trips start at $21,000 (excluding tax and service) and can fly up to six people. In other words, they are designed for couples that don’t mind splurging, families on a trip together or groups of friends who would rather share in the once-in-a-lifetime experience than break up and go on separate tours.

Why it fits Amangiri’s DNA

The draw is not just in the convenience it’s that these excursions are perfectly aligned with why people come to Amangiri in the first place: to reconnect with the outdoors in a way that feels next level, curated and deeply restorative. The resort has always been known for its nature-based take on luxury, with over 12 miles of groomed hiking trails on-site and a spa that’s as much about the view as it is about what massages and body treatments are available.

Other than the new flight program, Amangiri’s list of activities reads like a Southwest wish list. There’s fishing in Silver Creek and fly-fishing lessons on the property, in addition to a via ferrata climbing experience, a guided slot-canyon tour, a hot air balloon flight and stargazing sessions that turn the surrounding landscape from set dressing into leading lady. The wellness offerings are equally as intense: there are outdoor treatments, “mindfulness walks,” and a detox programme devised in collaboration with Aman’s wellness ambassador, tennis champion Novak Djokovic.

For travelers who like their adventure pampered — an adventure in which logistics simply disappear and the landscape can be enjoyed — these new day trips represent a bold, very Amangiri play: more access, more range, and a fresh way to experience the greatest places in the Southwest of the United States without losing one’s calm along the way.
