This is the largest most popular resort in the Bahamas. Its even visible from the moon! This checks off a lot of boxes for those who want a fun-filled activity driven vacation.

Atlantis, Paradise Island Resort

Paradise Island, Bahamas


Year Established: 1998 (The original structure built in 1968 was Paradise Island Resort and Casino. It was later taken over by Kerzner and developed into what we know today as Atlantis


Number of rooms: The Cove has 600 suites and The Reef has 497 condo-style units


Renovated: 2020

Number of restaurants and bars: 21 restaurants and 19 bars in the total complex. Closest to the Cove and Reef are Sea Glass for light tapas and drinks, Mosaic for Mediterranean fare, Sip Sip for poolside and beach dining, and Fish by Jose Andres. Advance reservations are a MUST for the majority of the restaurants found throughout the property!



Pool: 11 in the total complex. The Cascades pool is for Cove and Reef guests only. If you want to spend a day at the Aquaventure and Grotto pool you can reserve lounge chairs with solar powered coolers for a minimum of $99 per day!


Spa: This 30,000 square foot spa has its own dedicated building with 24 treatment suites and heated thalassotherapy pool. The Mandera Spa offers either Balinese or European based treatments using Elemis products. There are also full salon services as well

Fitness Center: Cardio, free weights, strength training machines, treadmills and fitness classes focused on yoga, pilates and spinning

Activities: Volleyball, tennis, rock climbing, video arcade, jogging trail, 1000 slot casino, 63 slip marina, 11 million gallon marine habitat, golf course, Aquaventure water park, teen club, night club, theatre and comedy club


Shopping: Lots! There is the Escape designer boutique lodged in the Cove, but if you crave more you can avail yourselves of the Crystal Court Shops or shuttle over to the Marina Village which has something for everyone in the family
