I’m back and we are reunited once again! For those of you who are getting this for the first time, my “better half” and I started a newsletter back during Covid to keep in contact with my clients and updated on what was happening in the travel space during those crazy and lonely times. It meant a lot to all of us to keep connected, keep dreaming, and for those brave enough to keep traveling, how to navigate the different and ever-changing restrictions.
We have now gotten back in the saddle, traveled with our family and close friends, and for many, it's time to get to our “bucket lists!” Welcome to the Spring edition of TravelAnne!

It’s May. The sun is shining, flowers are blooming, and Summer is right around the corner. If you haven’t planned a trip for the Summer, it’s never too late. Perhaps a bit challenging, but we can make it work! If you already have a summer vacation on the books, this is a perfect time to start thinking about ’26.
This month, we focus on (you got it) summer travel. We offer a couple of ideas to get you thinking. First, our writers travel to an old favorite… the island nation of Bermuda. This is a magical place with so much to offer that makes Bermuda a destination you can return to over and over again! Les and I spent part of our honeymoon there and will be returning this Summer for our 45th anniversary.
We also feature an “outside the box” summer destination. Aspen Snowmass is famous in winter for 5,700+ acres of skiable and ridable terrain spread across four mountains. But by summer, snowy slopes are replaced with meadows of wildflowers, and activities shift to mountain biking, hiking, sightseeing, ziplines, ropes courses, and more, all concentrated on Snowmass and Aspen Mountain.
Where are my Explorers going this year?
Italy (of course), Ireland, Scotland, Iceland, Greece, England, France, Portugal….by land, sea, river and train….whether it be a cruise ship , expedition ship, yacht , catamaran, river boat, or actively hiking or biking or renting a car. There are endless ways to experience a destination and you are doing it! Others are returning to Hawaii, or honeymooning in Tahiti or a Caribbean Island.
Make sure to take a look at the Seabourn Kimberley Expedition video. As I have mentioned before, these small ship expedition itineraries have become wildly popular. Particularly for those who have done a lot of cruising and are looking for something different. It is also popular with those who never envisioned going on a cruise but are intrigued by the specific destination and like the fact that it is a very limited number of people and therefore seems like the antithesis of the typical cruise.
Many of you have made your summer plans, BUT many others are still on the fence and haven’t done anything due to uncertain work schedules or life in general. As I said up top, it is NEVER too late! Take a look at Bermuda and Aspen for starters to get your vacation brains working, whether it be for this summer or next. We can have a planning session to work through the experiences you are looking for, even if it’s just for a long weekend.
I can’t wait to hear from you!
As always,
Happy trails and keep believing in the journey!
