We love hearing from our Explorers. Some of you share your trips on social media. Others email us their vacation images once they're home. And a few text us a photo or two at the start of their trip.

But what warms our heart most is seeing you having your adventure with close friends and family. All of us are still catching up on lost time and it's wonderful to see people reconnecting through the love of travel!

New Years in Paris (London too!)

This was a great festive adventure for a wonderful family based in Maryland. Steve and Lauren treated their son, daughter & daughter-in-law to a New Years celebration in Paris (umm... adopt me!). Steve, Lauren and daughter Peri actually spend some time in London before meeting Matt and his wife Sarah in Paris for a 4 day-3 night adventure.

There were a lot of moving parts from a planning standpoint, but I'm thrilled they had excellent family time in such a magical city. Hotel Castille was a great property for them. It's a quaint 5-star hotel (108 rooms - 26 suites) in the heart of Paris. It's located near the Louvre Museum, Place Vendôme and l’Avenue des Champs-Élysées.

A fun moment was when Peri, a New York based singer-songwriter, joined a street musician to entertain passersby on a London sidewalk. But the highlight was fireworks and a view of the Eiffel Tower as the clock struck midnight on the 31st!

London in Style!

Speaking of New Years celebrations, here's a couple with the right idea. Mark and Julie set their sights on a 3-night stay in London. For New Years Eve, they followed my recommendation and got a table at The Shangri-La at the Shard, which is the tallest building in London. What a wonderful view!

For their stay, Mark and Julie picked one of our favorite properties, The Lanesborough! Awarded No. 1 Hotel in London in the Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards, The Lanesborough is on Hyde Park Corner in Knightsbridge or central London. The hotel is home to 93 luxurious suites and bedrooms, modern British dining and just a short walk from Harrods, Harvey Nichols and London’s most exclusive shopping district; Sloane Street and Knightsbridge.

For all its grandeur though, what makes The Lanesborough is one of our favorites is the hotel staff. Every time we've stayed there, the people are warm, kind, caring and above all friendly and welcoming!

Mediterranean Sea Adventure

Oceania is among the finest small luxury cruise lines you can find and a perfect choice for these TravelAnne Explorers! Kate, Barney, TJ and Terry set sail from Athens in November. Kate and TJ are siblings who live on opposite ends of the USA. Kate and Barney live in California. TJ and Terry call Connecticut home. Rather than meeting half way, they picked the Mediterranean instead! I like their thinking.

The Oceana Marina was their home-base for this 10-day cruise. It was quite an adventure with stops each day in Greece, Turkey, Croatia and 4 stops in Italy... Venice, Sicily, Salerno and Rome.

Kate, Barney, TJ and Terry are dear friends and loyal clients. I always love working with them.

Almost Maiden Voyage

Finally, the award for perseverance goes to very sweet and patient clients David and Courtney! This Maryland couple booked a sailing on the Evrima, launching The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection back in 2019! Well, the world of course paused for 2 years. The inaugural sailing, which was scheduled for February of 2020, didn’t end up sailing until mid-October 2022. David and Courtney were actually on the ships’ second sailing and they say it was well worth the wait!

The Evrima boasts 149 suites, 5 restaurants, including one with Michelin 3-starred chef. There is a concierge for every suite, large bathrooms with dual sinks, high quality artwork, spa, gym, fancy Marina deck…and the list goes on. David says “if you are looking for the typical cruise experience this is not for you. There aren’t any announcements over the P.A. or dedicated group activities. This is a luxury hotel on the water!"
