Like much of the USA, the UK & Europe is in lockdown, but we know from experience, once that changes, the UK will be one of the first destinations Americans return to. As a result, we will begin featuring more destinations in this region.

This particular property is one to put on your list.

Adare Manor, located in the charming village of Adare in County Limerick, Ireland, will have you feeling like royalty with its surplus of amenities and activities, elegant rooms with picturesque views paired with a Michelin Star culinary program.

Let us introduce you to Adare Manor, a spellbinding 19th century castle hotel unmatched anywhere in Europe, located on a sprawling 842-acres whimsical estate - the size of Central Park, NYC! Set amongst the lush greens of southwest Ireland, the property underwent one of the most extensive renovations of its kind in Ireland back in 2017.

In November 2017, Adare reopened with a brand-new 42- bedroom wing (bringing the total room count to 104), state-of-the-art spa by La Mer (UK/Ireland’s first and only La Mer Spa), championship golf course (re-designed by the famed Tom Fazio), grand ballroom with a 350 person capacity and several uniquely exceptional culinary destinations. This includes The Oak Room which claimed a 2020 Michelin Star, the first restaurant to do so in the entire County Limerick region.

The property offers accommodations for every type of guest, whether you’re seeking a romantic stay with your partner, a relaxing girl’s getaway, family vacation or a dreamy solo experience. Of the 104 rooms are the luxuriously designed guest rooms and unmatched signature suites in the main house. On the estate you’ll also find two stand-alone quaint multi-room cottages - the Rose Cottage and Lavender Cottage – that provide a space for larger parties who prefer a self-catering experience.

The hotel offers an extensive range of indoor and outdoor pursuits to keep everyone entertained and active during their countryside vacation. October 2020 will see this legendary hotel launch a brand-new wellness and sporting facility called The Padel Club. The newly added amenity is the first of its kind in the entire country of Ireland and is named after padel tennis—the fastest growing sport in Europe.

The new facility is available to guests staying at Adare Manor and will offer a multitude of activities including two indoor padel tennis courts, a 17-meter swimming pool, a yoga studio, a steam room and much more. As a family friendly resort, Adare Manor offers activities and experiences that every member of the family will enjoy – no matter the age. The kids can have fun horseback riding or playing archery while dad peacefully plays golfs as mom enjoys some ‘me time’ shopping at the Adare Manor Boutique or at the La Mer spa.

The stand-out culinary program received international stardom when Adare’s fine-dining restaurant, The Oak Room, received a 2020 Michelin Star and Jurica Gojevic won the 2020 Michelin Sommelier Award. The Oak Room, helmed by Head Chef Michael Tweedie, prides itself on its exceptional culinary program which champions ethical seasonal dining, an extensive wine menu and a celebration of Irish cuisine.

Prior to opening its doors years ago, the food and beverage team embarked on a five-day trip to source the best produce from local purveyors and artisans to ensure guests that they are up for the utmost top-tier selections within their restaurant. The produce sources on this trip is still used in the restaurant today.

The Oak Room is accompanied by several other restaurants on the property: The Carriage House, an all-day dining option that features a grill restaurant, bar, cigar lounge and private dining chamber; The Tack Room, an elegant, sophisticated cocktail bar; and The Gallery which is your destination for the traditional Afternoon Tea experience and famous daily breakfast. The Gallery design is one-of-a-kind, inspired by the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles.

The Golf program is another stand-out amenity at Adare Manor. Re-designed by the famed golf architect Tom Fazio, the course has already seen championship play, and will play host to the coveted Ryder Cup 2027. The new course has been created in harmony with the outstanding natural beauty of its surroundings: lush, softly rolling terrain, mature tree scaping, and the sweeping banks of the River Maigue.

Each hole of The Golf Course at Adare Manor could be crowned the feature hole: each one has been entirely redesigned and reconstructed, with the very latest technology and course innovations, creating a challenging, characterful, and profoundly satisfying playing experience for golfers of every level.

The final result is a course that is at once strategic and soulful, playable in all conditions, and future-proofed in preparation for premiere amateur and professional golf events. Cared for by an experienced, passionate team of devoted greenkeepers, the condition of this course and its velvet-smooth Pure Distinction bent grass greens is unrivalled.

For those looking to vacation in the Irish countryside, Adare Manor provides a truly unforgettable experience, bringing the best of Irish hospitality to life on an unmatched estate.
