Small Luxury Hotels of the World has introduced an Exclusive Use service to recognize the demand for extended families or groups of friends looking to travel together and maintain complete control over their environment.


More than 370 of SLH’s collection of 520 hotels worldwide are now available for private hire vacations. Participating hotels cover the full spectrum of the SLH collection from country houses and city retreats to tropical island hideaways and secluded villas. These hotels offer anywhere from 4 to 200 rooms and can cater for a low-key family mini-break or a special celebration.


To assist guests in finding the best option for their requirements, hotels have been split into three collections – Homes-from-home, Intimate Locations and Private Destinations.


Homes-from-home – guests can travel within their comfort zone with a stay at one of over 70 intimate properties with up to 20 rooms to enjoy with friends and family. Examples include:

  • The Liming Bequia, St Vincent and the Grenadines (14 rooms) – Spacious and modern in design, every room is perfectly positioned for soaking up the sea views. Sink into the island pace of life, then discover its flavours at the Liming Restaurant. The chefs can also serve dinner at the villa, to dine beneath dark skies full of stars.

  • Riverview Ranch, Montana (8 rooms) – Perched above the banks of the Clark Fork River, Riverview Ranch is a slice of Montana at its finest. This is boutique retreat has a mighty big heart: the perfect place to kick back, relax and experience authentic ranch life.

Intimate Locations – offering guests the opportunity to have a place to themselves has never been more important. SLH’s selection of over 100 hotels of up to 50 guest rooms allows guests the space to feel sociable yet safe. Examples include:

  • Topping Rose House, Hamptons, New York (22 rooms) – Whether escaping the bustle of Manhattan or seeking a change of pace, Topping Rose House is the ideal island refuge. A renovated 19th-century mansion near Long Island’s eastern shore, it blends stylish heritage with cool, contemporary comforts. And as the only full-service hotel in the Hamptons, it’s rather special.

Private Destinationsfor guests who are planning a special occasion or missed out on one earlier this year, these are our 70+ go-to places of up to 200 rooms to celebrate in style, or simply escape the crowds - here's to taking charge of the guest list... Examples include:

  • The Iroquois, New York City (117 rooms) – Superbly central to Manhattan’s wealth of attractions, The Iroquois Hotel is the height of elegance with a host of special touches that set the hotel apart including a highly acclaimed restaurant, a charming library and efficient service, all just steps from Fifth Avenue.
