Palm Beach’s Iconic Brazilian Court Hotel

Despite conventional wisdom, the truth is that Palm Beach offers a wide variety of leisure opportunities… all of which should be considered a classic Palm Beach experience.

The Brazilian Court Hotel is a wonderful example of that. It is not the resort experience you’ll find at The Breakers. It doesn’t try to be. Yet, the Brazilian Court is still an iconic piece of Palm Beach history well worth visiting.

The Brazilian Court represents an intimate luxury experience that offers guests a look behind the curtain at the Palm Beach lifestyle. It has been operating for almost a century. It opened in 1926 and has hosted some of the worlds’ best-known celebrities, but you'd be hard pressed to find out who. Guest privacy is something the hotel protects at all costs. If you do see someone famous there, don’t ask for a selfie.

The Brazilian Court Hotel is the perfect place for guests who want to escape from reality. The boutique’s seclusion, hidden on a street with historic private mansions, offers a luxury getaway in the heart of Palm Beach.

“One of the best things about the hotel is its location,” says DC Travel Advisor Anne Heintz. “It’s nestled within a charming neighborhood a stone’s throw from Worth Avenue. Strolling the avenue at night is one of my favorite things to do.”

The Brazilian Court is intimate and cozy. The rooms are elegant and spacious rooms. The courtyard is like having your very own magical Palm Beach backyard.

Speaking of the rooms, the majority of them were completely redesigned last Fall, giving them a contemporary new look and feel.

“The way people are traveling is different, and hotels have to change with that. Our rooms were last done twelve years ago, and the décor was more classic, more upholstered,” Lauren Hastings of Palm Beach’s LSI Designs and mastermind behind the renovations told The Robb Report.

“We still have to adhere to our high standards, and everything has to be the utmost in luxury, but it’s not stuffy—it’s a more approachable elegance.”

As for the courtyard, the lovely gardens are perfect for sauntering on Sundays. Better yet, settle into one of its tropical courtyard nooks to relax and soak up the sun.

And then there’s Café Boulud, one of our favorite restaurants on the island.

At Café Boulud, guests can enjoy some of the best food in Palm Beach. Daniel Boulud, the internationally acclaimed chef, blends the fine cuisine of the Provence and the exotic tastes of the tropics. The restaurant serves delicious and luxurious plates, while the guests savor the views of Brazilian Court’s beautiful surroundings.

As for other attractions, the hotel provides transportation to the beach along with the full Brazilian Court experience. This includes towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, water and snacks. There are also bikes to explore Palm Beach’s beautiful lake trail! The hotel can also arrange golf and tennis nearby. Even a ride on a horse or water activities for the more sporty guests!

The Brazilian Court has a loyal and growing clientele. According our own Travel Anne, this destination is perfect for couples and singles.
