Hurricane Ian hit the Gulf Coast of Florida in September. The category 5 storm was the worst to hit the state since 1935. The damage was extensive. The clean up will be taking place for some time. But Florida is not only a resilient state, it's a big one.

If you're traveling to the gulf coast over the next 6 months, you may need to make alternative plans depending on location. We're seeing a lot of damage from Fort Myers south through Naples, and that includes the popular island of Sanibel/Captiva.

North of there, in the Sarasota and Tampa areas, you should be okay.
